Jericho. From the series The West Bank

This photograph is taken from my series The West Bank and explores the narrative of daily life in the Palestinian territory.
In my early twenties, I served as a Canadian Peacekeeper in Bosnia, and that experience inspired me to take a closer look at issues related to war and its aftermath. My life changed direction in 2007, when I left the military to pursue a career in photography. Soon after, I began visiting conflict and post-conflict regions as a photographer rather than as a soldier.
I am interested in finding a way to portray the often overlooked moments surrounding people and places in transition. My intent is to provoke questions and allow the images to suggest stories beyond the evident.
